Annual Student Scholarship

Each year the Acton Garden Club awards a scholarship to an Acton high school senior, either from Acton-Boxborough High School or Minuteman Regional High School. The person must be planning to major in a field relative to the environment, whether it be environmental science, earth science, forestry, horticulture, landscaping or a related field.

The recipient for the 2023 scholarship was Rita Narbonne from Acton Boxborough Regional High School.  The scholarship award was in the amount of $4,000.00.  Rita intends to major in an environmental field, either environmental studies or environmental engineering, with an additional interest in forestry.

The Acton Garden Club Scholarship Committee felt that Rita will contribute to promoting a healthier environment.
