Each year the Garden Club decorates the Keeping Room of the Hosmer
House for the Acton Historical Society’s Christmas open house. A small
group gathers shortly before Christmas to decorate the front room for
the holiday season. Gilded walnuts, paper chains, gleaming orange slices,
golden stars and ivy are used to decorate the tree and adorn the mantel.
Various dried arrangements are placed around the room and a mushroom-
skirted dress model greets guests as they enter the room.
