May 16th was a beautiful day for the Acton Garden Club's annual Plant Sale. Customers were lined up waiting for the Town Hall bells to chime 9:00 am and off they went with wagons to collect their new garden treasures. With over 2500 perennials and annuals available there was a plant or two for everyone. This year's raffle prizes included a watercolor by William Sawyer, a print by Hopper, handmade table runner, pink Dogwood tree from Kennedy's, a topiary tree from Mahoney's, a purse from Talbots, a bleeding heart from Jane Olesin, a hand painted folk art vase, and gift certificates from Idlywilde, Donelan's, Roche Bros, Not Your Average Joes, and The Bird House Center. Each winner was delighted with their prize. The plant sale is our largest fundraiser that supports our community beautification and educational efforts along with an ABRHS scholarship and Teacher Grants. Thank you to your continued support of this event.
