Held at the Seaport World Trade Center

March 16 - 20, 2011

The designs by our talented Acton Garden Club members!

Thelma Shoneman -
Invitational Design (on the main Garden floor)
Her interpretation of the Flower Show title, "With Flying Colors" was a hanging design using colorful vine spheres filled with Anthurium and orchids. The signage nearby announced the flower show and directed visitors to the Design Divisions in the ballroom.

Thelma Shoneman -
Class I - 'Green Thumb' - First Place and a Tricolor Award for the all fresh plant material section
The schedule called for a Pot-et-Fleur, a creative design of all fresh plant material in which plants are dominant but cut plant material and flowers or flowering plants must be used. I used 3 Dracaena plants. Cut plant material included green Anthurium and Equisetum which I wired to create the angled line.
Joan Yatteau, Janet Richards, Joan Gardner, and Nancy Eadie -
Functional Alfresco picnic-type setting - First Place and Club Competition Rosette

Laura Lindop -
Class 107 - 'Ocean Blue' - Second Place
This class was a creative horizontal design.
