The designs by our talented Acton Garden Club members!

Thelma Shoneman -

Design Division I Theme: "Coined in the U.S. A." - The design received a 1st place award.

The title of the Class was "Goody, Goody Gumdrops" and called for "A Hanging Design Type I non-Kinetic of Creative or Traditional style staged on a door.
I chose to express the title in shades of purple, yellow and green. I created the rectangular and triangular shapes in Styrofoam and wrapped them with variegated Aspidistra foliage. These shapes were rhythmically connected with a purple acrylic ribbon. Flowers used at focal point were Purple Carnations, Billy Buttons, and Star Flower Pincusion Pods sprayed purple.

Maureen Christmas -
Maureen's class was a design using complementary colors. Class title was 'Drop-Dead Gorgeous'

A few comments from the Judges: Explosive color, Heaviness of roses on lower left disturbs balance and rhythm

Laura Lindop -
Her entry was in the 'Up Tight' A Parallel Design class

Jill Foster -

Joan Gardner, Ann Leary, Joan Yatteau and Gena Manalan -
