October 4       ‘The Asian Longhorn Beetle’ A Slide Lecture
After the discovery in New York in 1996 of Asian longhorned beetles (ALB, Anoplophora glabripennis), the Secretary of Agriculture declared an extraordinary emergency with regulatory and control actions in order to combat the infestation. In August of 2008, beetles were detected in Worcester, MA, and have further spread since then.

A character actor performance set in 1910, seven years after the opening of Fenway Court which Mrs. Gardner designed, built and willed to the City of Boston. ’
with Jessa Piaia, Ms. Piaia studied performance in London and graduated from the Univ of Mass and now works at the Harvard School for Engineering and Applied Sciences.
